I have added a (b)log book page.  This will act as a record of my progression as I work my way through my PhD project.  It will include anything I think is relevant to the project and some things that might appear not to be relevant.  It is designed to act as a logbook of my work and act as an archive of my work, ideas and thoughts.

My work has been described as visual scepticism. I use the visual as a means of challenging received notions of truth and reality. I engage in the “portrait” as a means of addressing these concepts as well as questioning the validity of notions of identity, self and beauty

My work is predicated upon the knowledge that a truth, and whatever form that may take, is reliant upon context, experience and fearlessness.  “Art” is not made but found.  (A) truth is always present in the real and resistant world, and it is my job, as an artist, to act as the means of bringing that truth into our conscious world.

“A collage is by definition not a narrative; but the coexistence of different items in mass media does not represent a chaotic jumble of signs. Rater, the separate “stories” which are displayed alongside one another express orderings of consequentiality typical of a transformed time-space environment from which the hold of place is largely evaporated.  They do not, of course, add up to a single narrative, but the depend on, and also in some ways express, unties of thought and consciousness.”
